Yay or Nay Wednesday: Reed Krakoff Boxer Bag
When Reed Krakoff branched off from Coach to design his own line of handbags, we knew he'd bring his masculine sensibility to midmarket leather goods and the Boxer Bag is an excellent example of that. Part briefcase, part messenger, part boxy handbag, it definitely makes a style statement.
Recently, Krakoff enlisted blogeuse Garance Dore to photograph the bag in locales ranging from New York, Paris, London, Milan and Marrakech surely in a bid to aid it along in its hopefully journey to icon status.
"It's the kind of bag you get so attached to that you end up taking it everywhere you go," she said. "The pictures came naturally as I was living my life. Montauk on the beach, New York for fashion week, Paris with my love...so many great memories."
ReedKrakoff.com describes it as "A unique visual and sonic collaboration between Reed Krakoff and Garance Dore ... for this project shet took shots of her favorite boxer bag against the backdrops of ... locations near and far."
The photos definitely integrate the boxer bag, which could easily be pigeonholed as a work/city tote, into a variety of situations and lifestyles. But do you buy it? Would the Boxer Bag fit into your life? Vote below!
