Oscars 2009 Angelina Jolie Brad Pitt.jpgIt's true ya'll! Brad Pitt has been confirmed as the next new face of Chanel No. 5!

The French fashion house has announced that the 48-year-old actor will step into the shoes of spokesperson for the legendary women's scent. Pitt has made history by becoming the first-ever male to represent the fragrance in its 91-year-history.

Yesterday we first reported the rumours in which E! Online claimed that the actor had been paid a seven-figure sum to land the deal with Chanel. The entertainment site also reported that Pitt is due to shoot the campaign next week in London. The Pitt-Jolie family have recently purchased a new property named Whornes Place in the British capital after renting it for £30,000 a month last summer.

Brad was filming his zombie thriller last year when he decided to move his whole brood into the house in the London borough of Richmond. The property includes an indoor pool and 15th century wooden beams. "Brad and Angelina hold an affection for the UK, so this investment makes sense," a source told The Sun.

Brad follows in the footsteps of previous Chanel No. 5 faces which include Nicole Kidman and Audrey Tautou
