Temperley set to open in London's Mayfair
It is a day for new store announcements. In addition to the news that Oscar de la Renta is opening his first London store, we now hear that Temperley London is set to open its first-ever flagship store in Mayfair.
The 2,500-square-foot, two-story building will open on Bruton Street in November. It will be situated next to other stores including Diane von Furstenberg, Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson and Kenzo.
"It feels like the right time for our company to make this move and embark on the next phase of our business expansion. British fashion is at an important juncture and we are proud to have been part of the journey for the past ten years," said Temperley. "Our flagship, in one of the strongest areas of London retail, will allow us to showcase what we do with passion in outstandingly beautiful surroundings, and invite the customer directly into our world. We are very excited about this next stage - it feels like the beginning of a whole new chapter."
The flagship will carry all three Temperley collections - Temperley London, Alice by Temperley and Temperley Bridal. It will also house the label's press and wholesale showrooms, as well as financial and e-commerce offices. The designer's debut store in Notting Hill which is also her head office and will now become the label's occassion dressing showroom for eveningwear and bridal wear.
