As the momentum builds for the 2012 London Olympic Games, Anna Wintour has decided to celebrate all things sporty by tapping Team USA for her June cover of American Vogue. Members of the American Olympic team star in a photo shoot captured by Annie Leibovitz. A few of these gold medal hopefuls include Hope Solo, Ryan Lochte and Serena Williams who all look incredible in their swimsuits on the glossy cover. For those who aren't familiar with the trio, Solo is a goalkeeper for the US soccer team, Lochte is a six-time Olympic medallist and Williams... well, she needs no introduction really. Does she?

With Vogue's new united attitude to model health, US Vogue has really adopted healthy role models to grace its covers lately. Take for instance Adele who landed the March cover, Jennifer Lopez who helped mark the fashion bible's 'Shape' April issue, and now a group of professional Olympic-bound athletes. A big thumbs up from me!

I particularly like how Vogue staffers opted to dress Team USA in gold swimsuits as oppose to the typical stars and stripes national flag attire. I can't wait to hear all about what you guys think of this cover. Does it get you pumped for the Olympics or does it fail to live up to Vogue's high fashion status?
