Scarlett Johansson opts for Preen on the Walk of Fame
Yesterday 27-year-old actress Scarlett Johansson excused herself from the Avengers promo tour and set off to California to receive her star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. Scarlett was joined by her Avengers Assemble co-star Jeremy Renner at the ceremony and looked every inch the moviestar, smiling, laughing and waving at the hoards of fans who gathered to catch a glimpse of the Lost In Translation beauty.
Scarlett looked extremely glamourous in a mixed print outfit from Preen's ready to wear Fall 2012 collection, which she teamed with a pair of to-die-for suede peep-toe heels by Christian Louboutin. It's great to see Scarlett rocking a contemporary British brand whilst simultaneously channelling the 50's look (please keep it up Scarlett, you do it SO well) and I'm glad she chose fresh pieces that reflected her fashionable, playful side, as well as the tone of the occasion. Designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi created a collection inspired by strong, creative women of the past such as Beatrix Potter and Virgina Woolf, and in a modern day world, I think Scar Jo fits into that bracket (hint hint Scarlett, I want to see you in more Preen). The tasteful monochrome outfit consisted of an artfully checkered pencil skirt and daisy patterned top, both of which skimmed Scarlett's figure beautifully. I'm still in shock that Scarlett decided to go for a pair of red heels, in a good way - it's about time she realised that it's ok to add a little colour! I also love the classic approach she took to her hair and makeup, although if I had my own way, I would have preferred a slightly looser hairstyle.
Thank you Scarlett, for proving that you haven't lost your spark!
