Trina Turk for Banana Republic preview.jpg

Here is your first sneak peek at the ad campaign for Trina Turk's forthcoming collection for Banana Republic. Starring Canadian model Coco Rocha sporting a 1960s-style flippy ponytail, printed dress and white sunglasses, the ads were shot on location at the Kaufmann House in Palm Springs.

"The Slim Aarons photo of ladies having drinks at the pool has been an inspiration for our brand," said Turk.

Comprising of 60 pieces, the capsule collection features dresses, shorts, accessories, sunglasses, swimsuits and towels in Turk's signature bold patterns.

Prior to the official launch in stores, Gilt Group will offer pre-sale items at full price. Banana Republic then plans to host a series of launch events across the US on June 7 with Turk set to make a special guest appearance at the San Francisco flagship store.

"It's been a real pleasure to work with Trina," said Simon Kneen, Banana Republic creative director. "We're open to working together in the future. We're looking for things that are unique to us."

Loving the colourful, Sixties, Mad Men vibe of this collection. I guess this is what Banana Republic does best right now.
