Naomi Campbell to star in a new reality TV show, 'The Face'
Naomi Campbell is set to star in a new modelling reality TV show called The Face. She will follow in the footsteps of her fellow 'supers' Elle Macpherson and Tyra Banks by becoming one of three famous models (two are yet to be announced) to help mentor up-and-coming young models on a television series.
The series will air on America's Oxygen network, and will see Campbell coach a group of unknown models throughout various assignments including photo shoots, runway shows and commercials for some very well-known brands. In the end, one girl will win and be crowned The Face of a major national brand.
Sound familiar? That's because Oxygen are the same guys behind the very successful America's Next Top Model series.
"I am looking forward to working in partnership with Oxygen and Shine America to discover the next beautiful face of the modelling world, Naomi Campbell said in a press release. "With The Face the audience will get a real insider's look at this exciting industry that has been so good to me. One lucky girl will become the face of a major brand."
The show is set to launch on the small screen in 2013. I wonder who the other two superstar mentors will be? Claudia Schiffer perhaps, or Christy Turlington. Who would you like to see grace our TV screens?
