MCQNETAPORTER2012.jpgYou might have to bear with me for a moment while I try to grapple with the overwhelming urge to hit the "place private order" button this morning - McQ Alexander McQueen's debut runway collection is now available at Net-A-Porter! The online shopping giants have understandably gone all out with some beautiful photography by Bruno Dayan, and 13 little words that will leave fashion lovers everywhere fighting temptation, "don't miss out on your chance to own a piece of fashion history".

It seems like only yesterday that Sarah Burton and her team left us picking our jaws up from the floor following the first ever McQ show at London Fashion Week, and seeing the beautiful heritage inspired clothes on Net-A-Porter this morning certainly brought back all of the initial butterflies I felt earlier in the year. Twelve limited edition items have been taken from the stunning Autumn/Winter 2012 collection and are available to order exclusively on Net-A-Porter for the next week. The website states that your order "will be especially made for you at the Alexander McQueen atelier in Italy and will be delivered in time for fall". Sigh...

Key pieces include the broderie anglaise velvet bell dress (which Chloë Moretz rocked for the Dark Shadows premiere in London last week) and the achingly theatrical yet romantic black watch plaid coat. With prices start at £445 for the spell binding rabbit wool vest, going up to £7010 for the striking silk-chiffon embellished gown, I'm afraid you won't be seeing any McQ in my wardrobe just yet, but a girl can still dream, right?

We want to know which pieces have got your hand hovering over the place private order button. Let us know in the comments!
