Look who's wearing Topshop at the Met Gala!
If you haven't noticed, we've all been basking in the fashion delights that hit the red carpet at last night's Costume Institute Gala at the Met in New York. From Burberry to Givenchy, Prada to Emilio Pucci and more, the event was filled to the brim with designer desirables that we can only dream about owning / wearing / wanting / needing. You'll be pleased to hear (I know we were) that, similarly to when Michelle Williams decided to wear H&M to the BAFTA's, a few certain stars graced the red carpet wearing high-street favourite, Topshop.
Model and actress Dree Hemingway opted for a custom made adaptation of the gold embellished dress we spied at Topshop Unique's Autumn / Winter 2012 collection show back in February and we love it. The dress has been extended from the original above-the-knee length to a midi, whilst the straps have been shortened to create more of a slash neck. The dress still features the black sheer panels and chic edgy simplicity we loved in the original version.
Topshop Unique's AW12 dress will be out over the coming months, but just in case you can't wait, we've picked some of Topshop's similar offerings to help you steal Dree's Met Gala style.
The second star stepping out in a custom made Topshop number was Pearl Harbour and Sin City star, Jamie King. Jamie's dress appeared to be an entirely original creation with low scoop back, frill detail and flowing trail. We love the scarlet red shade on her in the fine silk design which fit her like a glove. Check it out below.
We've also shopped her look at Topshop to in case you want to steal her style too...
What do you think about the celebs wearing more affordable fashion on such a high profile red carpet amongst the designer gowns?
