With all the craziness of the Met Gala yesterday, we nearly missed this red carpet outing from the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate Middleton attended an exclusive dinner at Claridge's Hotel with Prince William in a stunning cream column dress by Roland Mouret. Featuring long sleeves and a rather sexy thigh-high split (what would the Queen say?!) Kate looked incredibly lean and tall in the design from Mouret's 2009 RM collection.

Inspired by actress Carole Lombard, Mouret actually named his design the 'Lombard' - clever. Previous famous folk to wear the Lombard include the former French Lady Carla Bruni who wore it to a state dinner at the Elysee Palace in March 2010, and model Amber Valetta, both of whom opted for the jade green version.

But back to the Duchess... Kate chose to match her gown with a pair of Jimmy Choo 'Vamp' strappy metallic sandals and a pair of vintage style drop earrings. She also chose to add a gold and white beaded clutch to finish off her look with a retro touch.

This isn't the first time we've seen the Duchess wear Roland Mouret. She also donned a navy dress of his during her royal trip from London to Canada last year.

What do you think of Kate's creamy look? It's rare that we see her in such a pale colour, so we'd really like to hear what you guys think.
