I never thought I'd see the day when I would mention Karl Lagerfeld and Snoop Dogg in the same sentence, and yet here I am writing a blog post about the pair starring the in same music video together. I know, wtf? It seems there is nothing in this world that Lagerfeld won't attach his name to, not even a really cringe-worthy music video.

The Chanel designer features in the video for 'Saint-Tropez' a new single by French DJ Jean-Roch. At the beginning we see Lagerfeld greet Jean-Roch as some godlike figure up in the clouds which we are lead to believe is a type of heaven, a.k.a. the French Riviera. Lagerfeld then asks Jean-Roch a rhetorical question, "You were never told that Saint-Tropez is paradise?" Cut to tourism-style shots of Saint Tropez with Snoop Dogg putting his rap bits in here and there. Oh dear.

Unfortunately this clip (and song) is neither good or interesting. It is, however, rather amusing and well worth a watch. When Karl decided to help support his male muse Baptiste Giabiconi's music, we raised an eyebrow. Now I am really concerned that Lagerfeld may starting to develop an interest in making music videos. Let us hope that this is sincerely not the case.
