Friday Frock: Karen Millen Lace Shift Dress
This Lace Shift Dress by Karen Millen, £210.00, is very reminiscent of some of the lace applique dresses we've been seeing on the red carpet as of late. From Kirsten Stewart's Marchesa gown for the Snow White and the Huntsman premiere to Beyonce's Givenchy Couture at the Met Gala the combination of sheer fabrics and lace applique has been hot this spring. If you don't have anywhere quite so fancy to go, this shorter less sheer option is perfect for a cocktail party, wedding or any other dressy event.
The semi-sheer floral lace dress doesn't require a slip as it has a contrast underlay. The dress features a flattering wide, round neckline, sheer cropped puff sleeves with scalloped cuffs, a scalloped edge hem and a keyhole button fastening on the reverse. Perfect excuse to wear your hair up!
It's pretty unusual to find a cocktail dress with sleeves, too, so you could certainly get lots of wear out of this well into the fall.
The dress is 100% polyester and dry clean only.
