Since The Voice UK hit our screens, we've been scouring our tellyboxes to see what the stars of the show would wear. And to be honest, we've felt a bit let down in the fashion stakes. Continuity issues meant the judges and hosts didn't change outfits at all during the audition stages (Reggie Yates stating his salmon Acne blazer had to be dry cleaned a lot as a result) and since the live shows have started it's all been a bit safe, with some of the styling of the performers leaving a lot to be desired.

Jessie J (who said many times that this is all about the music, not her outfits) has kept things quite simple and pared down in lots of pale colours and soft metallics, so it's been left to va-va-voom host Holly Willoughby to ramp up the glamour...something she definitely managed on Saturday.

It's safe to say the lady lived up to her 'cleavage hall of fame' status (not to mention her 'Willoughbooby' nickname) in the much talked-about lace frock, which was custom made for her by bridal and formalwear designer Suzanne Neville.

Meanwhile, when it came to the contestants, we only had eyes for one girl. Forget Francis's tutu and Joelle's bodycon mini. We were more impressed that, In an amazing turn of events, the stylists chose not to dress everyone over a size 10 in 'slimming' black. Ok, so Leanne was squeezed into floor-length, long-sleeved black jersey (zzzzzzzz) but Ruth stuck two fingers up to convention in her second ASOS Curve outfit in as many weeks.

She took on a tricky trend wearing a floral print suit with cropped trousers. Get the look by snagging the same outfit for yourself in the sale - jacket £32.50 and trousers £20.

Message to the stylists: more of this please! We'd much rather take a risk than be boring and bland!
