Cannes designer double take #1: Cheryl Cole & Paz Vega in Stephane Rolland
Two beautiful Cannes attendees chose this weekend to turn to talented couture newcomer Stephane Rolland for their red carpet gowns. Rolland may not have the decades of couture history behind him that some labels boast, but that doesn't mean he can't create a breathtaking dress.
This year at Cannes it's all about the dramatic train, and these Rolland offerings definitely have that. First up at the Madagascar 3 premiere Spanish actress Paz Vega drew gasps in a black and white gown with a structured, cut-out top with gold belt and a full, feather-strewn fishtail skirt.
Soon afterwards, L'Oreal girl Cheryl Cole took to the red carpet at the premiere of Amour on behalf of the beauty brand (and festival sponsor) in another Rolland creation, this time with a white short-sleeved top half and red fishtail. There's no denying the similarity between the gowns, which both come from the same collection (below). But who do you think wore Stephane Rolland better?
