Undies Monday: festival fashion is all about the bra tops
Other than the beach, summer festivals are the best place to show off your underwear as outerwear and this year it seems to be all about the bra top. As you can see in our Coachella celebrity gallery, cleavage and belly baring styles abound. But we're betting most ladies don't actually just pick something out of their bra drawer to throw on with their cutoffs. Enter the bra top. And ASOS has several in their Festival Fashion feature.
The most daring of our choices, the UNIF Skinny Tie Dye Strappy Bra Top, 45 GBP, provides about as much coverage (and support) as a string bikini, so lets leave this style to the A cup ladies. UNIF stands for Ur Not In Fashion and is designed by LA-based DJ Eric Espinoza. No surprise then that the club kid came up with this multi-coloured tie-dyed print with a plain contrast trim, soft triangle cups with adjustable shoestring straps, and a narrow strap to the reverse with a hook closure.
For just slightly more coverage opt for the Band of Gypsies Crop Corset in Bandana Print, 22 GBP. The top is cotton and fully-lined, both important for holding up in any rain and/or sweat. Featuring a sweetheart neckline with seamed cups to the bust, spaghetti straps, a block colour placket with hook and eye fastening through the front and shirred panelling to reverse.
If you were loving Rihanna's sports bra look, then maybe you'll like this ASOS Crop Top with Cut Out Detail, 10 GBP. A simple style, you could just as likely wear this to the gym as on the festival circuit. It's made of a stretch jersey fabric and features a deep v-neckline, wide shoulder straps, cut-out inserts to the sides and a wide waistband.
