Scarlett Johansson is US Vogue's May cover girl
In what feels like an age since we've seen or heard from her, Scarlett Johansson has popped up on the May cover of US Vogue. Following her public split from ex-husband Ryan Reynolds and a nude photo scandal, the actress has been keeping a fairly low profile. But now she's back with a new movie role in The Avengers and a new romance.
"It wasn't just me," Johansson says of the nude photo controversy that shattered her world last year. "It was others. I don't want to be a victim and say, 'Oh, well' and just hide my head in shame. Somebody stole something from me... It's sick. I don't want people like that to slide."
But now she is moving on, with the help of a new man in her life. Following a brief dalliance with actor Sean Penn, Scarlett has confirmed she is currently dating a New York-based advertising creative director named Nate Naylor, who is not used to all the paparazzi attention. "It's totally bizarre. It's an adjustment - I mean, it's got to be an adjustment for him way more than it was for me at nineteen. But he's really remarkably good about it."
Scarlett was photographed by Mario Testino in a look regularly favoured by the actress - the Hollywood screen siren. Although the editorial inside the mag (below) looks rather interesting (for instance, she is walking a leopard!) I'm not exactly loving the cover. Not only does Johansson seem really airbrushed, it's rather... well boring. Wouldn't you agree?
