Richard Nicoll's bridal collection for Topshop
British-born designer Richard Nicoll surprised us all on Thursday by announcing he has created a bridal collection for Topshop!
Whilst the collaboration between Richard and the high street retailer is nothing new (he has already designed five collections for them) we almost choked on our lunch as Topshop tweeted about the forthcoming collection:
Photographs of the highly anticipated range have yet to be released, but Vogue.com have stated that all of the dresses "feature Nicoll's signature sculptural shapes and feminine fabrics" and are intended as a "modern alternative to meringue culture".
Although Topshop might seem like an odd place to pick up your wedding dress, we've no doubt that Nicoll's bridal offerings will be as successful amongst the fashion savvy as his previous collections were. For those of you daydreaming about possible designs, take a look at Richard's romantic SS12 collection for inspiration (Gemma even likened the sugar filled palette to a "bridesmaid dress colour scheme" at the time) or head over to Richard Nicoll's blog to see not one, but two bridal dresses he's created recently for his friends. Oh, to be pals with a designer...
