KSTEWART2012BESTDRESS.jpgNo you don't need to re-adjust your screens - Kristen Stewart really has won the best dressed female award courtesy of Glamour Magazine. To be honest, I'm on the fence with this one, and I'd like to know your thoughts. The notoriously awkward Twilight actress has come out of her shell a lot over the last few years, and seems to be slowly overcoming her nervousness following the endless movie promotional tours and paparazzi stalking. To me, she seems like a regular headstrong young woman; not afraid to dress down, confident enough to go make-up free, prone to a little anti-socialism and a susceptible to making a few fashion mistakes. Commendable, but surely not "best dressed" worthy?

Whilst there's no doubt that the 22 year old has climbed the style ladder considerably (possibly due to developing an appreciation for fashion shows and beautiful couture dresses) I can't help but feel that some of the other contenders for the title should have won. The competition on the annual list included previous winner and Harry Potter star, Emma Watson, as well as fashion icon Victoria Beckham and the elegant Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, yet Kristen fought them off with her "effortlessly on-trend" dress sense and style evolution from "awkward teen to style queen." I've loved watching Kristen's red carpet look change from denim and Converse to sky high heels and super-short designer dresses (if I had those legs I'd do exactly the same thing) but I just don't think she deserves the crown this year. Do you?
