GALLERY: Fashion steps out for New Yorkers for Children benefit
Red carpet season may be over for Hollywood, but the spring social circuit in New York is just heating up. The New Yorkers For Children's Annual Fool's Fete is going to be hard to top. Bold-faced fashion names like Coco Rocha, Crystal Renn (both in Zac Posen, who was also in attendance), Doutzen Kroes in Rachel Roy, Karolina Kurkova and Hilary Rhoda danced and posed with New York's socialites and philanthropists (who really held their own in the style stakes).
One fashion publicist at the Mandarin Oriental where the event was held told The Daily that it was just like prom, while another attendee likened it to cheerleading tryouts. (Um... okay.) Some other fashion highlights included Umindi Francis in a long-sleeved white gown, Orluchi Orlandi in Wes Gordon, Nicole Trunfio in Sportmax and Lydia Fenet in CD Greene.
The evening was sponsored by designer CD Greene who had a gaggle of lovelies (like Fenet) on his arm. The evening raised $580,000 for children in the New York City foster care system.
