Frock Horror: Olivia Wilde at 'The Five Year Engagement' premiere
I'm a fan of animal print. And I even think leopard can work on a larger item, like a coat or even a dress. But Olivia Wilde's Yigal Azrouël animal-print maxi dress might just take it too far. Is it a shirt dress? Are there ruffles on the sleeves? The sleeves are definitely a bit awkward and perhaps even unflattering to Wilde's arms - which we all know are above reproach. I think the silhouette may be designed to give her slim, athletic frame some more curve appeal but it just renders her much less attractive than we know her to be.
She didn't have too stiff of competition on the red carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival, where The Five Year Engagement was showing. This photo is from Vanity Fair's kickoff party for the festival. Camilla Belle and Emily Blunt both chose to wear Jason Wu, though their choices were very different. Blunt wore a black strapless dress with bright green embellishments that was ladylike and charming, but nothing too exciting. Belle wore her signature sultry curve-hugging silhouette. It was a gold, shimmery geisha-inspired frock with black piping and details.
Let's hope the Tribeca Film Festival gives us a little more to ooh and ah over this week!
