Hot on the heels of the newly-unveiled Alberta Ferretti for Macy's collection comes news that Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein is about to follow suit. The designer has hopped on board Macy's spring promotion, 'A Magical Journey to Brasil' with a big colourful campaign full of Brazillian flavour. It seems rather appropriate then that the retailer recruit the country's biggest fashion export - Mr Costa.

Costa will launch a capsule collection of dresses under the Calvin Klein umbrella with his very first more affordable line. Prices will hang around the $135 to $180 mark which makes them much more accessible than his usual creations.

"This fresh, youthful line of dresses reflects both my roots and the modern, yet timeless spirit of Calvin Klein," said Costa. Expect a mixture of clean lines and shapes with dresses created from crepe and jersey fabrics.

Speaking of the inspiration behind the collection, a Macy's spokesperson said it "really came from some of the architecture in Brazil and the sunset on the horizon there." Oohh, sounds delightful!

The collection will début on May 15 for an exclusive two-month promotion. It will be available in 80 Macy's stores in addition to online at macys.com.
