Chloe Green launches shoe line at London's The Arts Club
Sir Philip Green's daughter, Chloe Green, launched her 'CJG' shoe line for Topshop at The Arts Club, London, this week. The super-dooper high heels were unveiled at a swanky bash in Dover Street on Tuesday night. Despite the towering hight of her heels and wedges, Chloe told WWD that they are "comfortable."
"I've been standing in these for a couple of hours and they're great," she said regarding the monstrous metallic wedges she was wearing with her zigzag Carven dress.
As for the inspiration behind her shoe line, the former Made in Chelsea star told Grazia UK that was all down to her group of friends. "I can never find what I'm after in the shops and decided I wanted to fill that gap in the market. I love shoes like any girl and so I sat down with a group of friends and we talked about what we all looked for in a pair of shoes and then I got designing."
What she designed was a collection of mint green-soled shoes (something to do with her surname perhaps?) comprising of eight styles which will launch in Topshop on May 17. Prices range between £115 for the CJG pump to £175 for the 'Lady Mama' embroidered wedge heel.
With designs already in the works for an autumn 2012 collection, Chloe hasn't ruled out expanding her line to include clothing. "I'm kind of seeing where I want to go, if I want to go into clothing or accessories. I'll see first how his collection goes and then take it from there."
