Charlize Theron makes her British Vogue debut in Versace
The always-beautiful Charlize Theron has made her British Vogue début by landing the cover of the May issue. Photographed Mad Men-style by Patrick Demarchelier, the 36-year-old looks simply sensational as she bares more than a bit of leg in a draped ice blue dress by Versace.
Inside the magazine, the actress opens up about her recent adoption. Charlize surprised many last month when she announced she had adopted a baby boy, Jackson. Despite the unexpected nature of the news, she reveals that becoming a mother was something she had been planning for quite a while.
"I've always been very honest in saying I wanted a family. I've always known I wanted a family," she says. "I don't think my mom could wait any more! Jackson is incredible, the greatest gift. He is the coolest kid ever."
As for her previous modelling work, which she says never quite took off, she admits it was because she was born a decade too late when the waif models were all the rage.
"I was too tall, too big, too late for the supermodel look of the Eighties. Kate Moss and all the tiny, grungy girls had just become fashionable, and I didn't fit the bill."
"I'm sure there are women who never have to worry about what they eat. But I do. I exercise a lot, and I hike a lot. My mom and I hike at least three times a week
