Cameron Diaz's girl-meets-boy June cover for Harper's Bazaar UK
Showing no signs of slowing down (or ageing) is Cameron Diaz, who graces the June cover of Harper's Bazaar UK. The 39-year-old actress stars in a boy-meets-girl shoot photographed by Tom Munro which shows off both her feminine and tomboy sides.
Inside the magazine, Cam talks about her fondness for British men and why she loves hanging out in London so much. "I love their sense of humour and the sense of chivalry and charm. It's something that is innately a part of the culture - we don't have that over here, it's not the same in America," she says.
"[Colin Firth] is the perfect Englishman. Just enough of the self-effacing to a point that it's comfortable for other people, but also totally charming and engaging to where he makes you feel special. He's got that British honesty."
"I love London. I love the Brits, I always have. I have a weak spot for them. I grew up on Monty Python. I love Little Britain. My grandfather used to watch Benny Hill all the time," she adds.
As for how she became such besties with fellow A-lister Gwyneth Paltrow, Cam reveals that the two grew close after the death of her father. "She reached out and it was very sweet. We bonded on that."
- The June issue of Harper's Bazaar UK will hit stands this Thursday 3rd May.
