If you had asked me last week what the biggest style challenge was at the moment, I would have said the dipped hem without hesitation. It's a difficult detail to pull off with a goldilocks reputation - if you're too short the hem is too long, if you're too tall the hem is too short - but if you're just the right height, then a dipped hem skirt or dress is a fantastic way to show off your legs. Initially, I avoided the dipped hem trend like the plague. At 6'1 the front sections were always too short for my body, and after one particular afternoon spent trying on A LOT of shirts without success, I mentally shoved dipped hems into the "things I will never be able to wear" pile, vowing never to return. However. Yesterday I came across this dress from New Look, which surely ticks boxes for everyone on the search for the perfect dipped hem item - it looks great on the 5'8 model, comes in two colours (white and peach) and ranges from sizes 6 to 18. Oh and did I mention it's only £24.99? For this weeks Three Ways To Wear, we've gone for a work/play/everyday approach, showing you how to get the best out of a dipped hem dress no matter what the occasion.
