The Olsens prepare to launch Superga shoe collection
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were given their new roles as creative directors for the brand last September to help celebrate the company's 100th birthday. As part of their appointment they also announced they would design a capsule shoe range under their own fashion label The Row.
According to Harvey Nichols buyer, Ida Petersson, the sneaker range has been created from cashmere and comprises of three different colours - black, navy and grey. Each shoe style features The Row logo and are priced at £250 a pop, not exactly for the budget-wise.
"The collection merges the simplicity of the iconic Superga 2750 - every girl's secret weekend best friend - with the softest cashmere, making this my favourite trainer ever," Petersson told Vogue UK. "As with The Row's designs, the attention to detail on these trainers is impeccable and will appeal to the most discerning of customers. My appointment with The Row was the very last in a long day of buying five-inch heels and the girls at the showroom literally had to stop me from running off with the trainers there and then!"
I wonder if our pals at Shoewawa will be running off to Harvey Nicks later this month.
