Evans have a great reputation for cool curvy collaborations (think Beth Ditto and Georgina Goodman) so news of the latest - with Brit design talents Clements Ribeiro - was greeted with both excitement and anticipation. This morning, I got to see a preview of the range, and suffice to say I'm happy it's available in a size 14 as there's more than one piece I have my eye one! The range, called Swan, definitely delivers the goods, with a quirky feel that will appeal to both younger or more style-conscious shoppers as well as those who feel the plus size world is in desperate need of non-frumpy prints and pieces with a bit more structure.

"For our first range we addressed the different body shapes, with styles which are accessible but modern, with an emphasis on prints and femininity." Explains Inacio Ribeiro. "Far from being apologetic or patronising, we celebrated curves and voluptuousness."

This comes in 40s pin-up inspiration, floral prints, and textures fabrics like broiderie anglaise. There are tea dresses, slouchy t-shirts, slinky printed trousers, heart intarsia cardigans and bold shift dresses.

Plenty of the dresses have proper structure, rather than being the tent-like empire lines often relied on for plus size ranges, but there are also slouchier numbers, a great bird-print coat, and some cool knitwear. The trousers are a surprise winner - a nice alternative to printed leggings in very pretty prints.

Prices range from £25 to £99, in UK sizes 14 - 32.

The collection will be available exclusively online at Evans.co.uk from 31st March, then from 2nd April in the following stores: Marble Arch, Bluewater, Lakeside, Metro Gateshead, Meadowhall, Trafford, Liverpool, Glasgow, Dublin and Belfast, as well as international stores in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and UAE.
