If Kate Middleton can take her look from professional to a workout to an evening event, what are you complaining about?

Just kidding, the Duchess of Cambridge obviously has the time and resources to pull off such transitions seamlessly. But her three looks yesterday were so simple they provide excellent inspiration for those of us who have to make a lot of style transitions during the day.

First Kate visited the London 2012 Olympic Park in her role as a Team GB and Paralympics GB 2012 Ambassador. This is a really cute but grown up take on the classic preppy collegiate look. In a rather brilliant move, she used trendy pink cropped jeans to pick up on the pink in the Team GB scarf, which looks quite chic on her. She topped off the simple but statement-making look with a navy blazer with posh gold buttons. If you weren't sure pastel jeans were going to happen for Spring, it's official. There's no stopping it now.

To join the GB hockey squad on the filed, Kate simply switched out her navy pumps for sneakers and her blazer for a casual hoodie. God, she makes anything look chic. I do rather prefer the cropped jeans with a flat shoe, actually.

Later that night Kate appeared with The Prince of Wales at the Dulwich Picture Gallery for an event for The Prince's Foundation for Children and The Arts. For this she changed into a gray, pleated Orla Kiely dress that has already proven quite popular in the press.

Hats off Katie, hope you're spending the day in sweats today.
