Kate Middleton's LK Bennett love affair continues with 40s style teal suit
The Duchess of Cambridge accompanied the Queen to Leicester today to visit De Montford University as part of the Diamond Jubilee tour.
Whilst there, Kate was presented with a selection of shoes designed by students of the University, and picked out her favourite - a royal blue shoe-boot by Becka Hunt which you can see by clicking here. It's a far cry from the simple courts she favours for public appearances...but maybe Kate has an adventurous side hidden away somewhere?
We saw a tiny bit of that today, as a visit to a fashion college obviously called for a fabulous outfit! The Queen opted for a pink and black coat and hat by Angela Kelly, with black accessories (bright colour is sooooo S/S 2012!) while the former Miss Middleton opted for a teal coloured dress and jacket from one of her trusted favourites, LK Bennett. By cinching the belt at the waist and adding a James Lock hat and black suede Episode shoes, Kate made this outfit look very 1940s. We approve!
As always, the Kate seal of approval always results in a sell out, and the Jude Peplum Jacket, which was available in the sale for £145 this morning, has now sold out in all sizes.
The £225 Davina dress, meanwhile, is still available in a plethora of colours...but none of them are the teal green/blue worn by the Duchess.
