Rosie-Huntington-Christopher-Bailey-Kate-Bosworth.jpgChristopher Bailey has been named the new chair of Fashion Fringe for the next two years. Headed up by the British Fashion Council's Colin McDowell, Fashion Fringe aims to discover emerging British designers and nurturing their talent.

"He [Chistopher Bailey] is young, and Burberry has a long and trusted tradition, and that pleases me enormously as youth and longevity are entirely what motivate and drive Fashion Fringe. I believe that Christopher and Burberry will offer great inspiration to our candidates in Fashion Fringe for the next two years whilst encouraging them to boldly step out and create their own vision and originality," McDowell told WWD.

Bailey will act as judge and will select and mentor three finalists of the 2012 and 2013 awards which will be announced in September during London Fashion Week. Bailey takes over the role from fellow designers Donatella Versace and Tom Ford.

Applications to enter Fashion Fringe will begin on March 12th, find out more at fashionfringe.co.uk
