Alexa_chung_mulberry.jpgAs if she isn't busy enough being a US TV star, appearing in a multitude of ad campaigns and gracing the front rows at fashion weeks, Alexa Chung has now been named spokesperson for the British Designers Collective.

Now in its third year the BDC is a joint venture between the British Fashion Council and Bicester Village shopping centre. Alexa will help launch the initiative with designers Peter Pilotto, Jonathan Saunders, Nicholas Kirkwood and Marios Schwab on March 22.

As part of the Collective, shoppers are given an exclusive opportunity to shop the collections of up-and-coming designers who normally would not be offered such a platform to showcase their designs. The six-week pop-up-shop will also feature creations from more established designers including Preen, Holly Fulton, Bella Freud, James Long, Goat, Emma Cook, Markus Lupfer, Hermione de Paula and Jean Pierre Braganza. While accessories will be available to purchase from designers such as Pauric Sweeney, Lily and Lionel, Mawi and Erickson Beamon.

Last year, we attended the BDC which was hosted by Thandie Newton. Read all about our visit to Bicester Village here.
