The world farewells Whitney Houston
The world will farewell Whitney Houston later today when the late singer's funeral is streamed live across the globe in front of millions. Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina and her mother Cissy Houston said their goodbyes in a private viewing yesterday ahead of the funeral which can be viewed on the Internet today from the superstar's home town of New Jersey.
Fans lined the streets yesterday as friends and family of Houston attended the private memorial. It is the first time that Bobbi Kristina has been seen in public since she was rushed to hospital following her mother's death. At today's funeral a host of stars are expected to pay tribute to Houston. Some of these are expected to include Kevin Costner (her The Bodyguard co-star), Janet Jackson, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, R Kelly, David Bowie and Whitney's late husband, Bobby Brown. It has been reported that Alicia Keys will perform as well as Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin.
Whitney died suddenly in her room at the Beverly Hills Hotel last Saturday. So far no cause of death has been released as officials wait for the results of toxicology tests. What is known is that she and that all mighty powerful voice will be greatly missed by many.
