Super Bowl goes mad for Madonna in Givenchy
Facing up to all of her critics in front of a worldwide audience, Madonna swooped in to steal the Super Bowl's thunder last night. The Queen of Pop wowed audiences as she commanded the stage during the 2012 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Dressed to the max in a gladiator-style ensemble, Madonna emerged into the limelight like a sparkly phoenix. Her enormous Egyptian-inspired gold headdress, black thigh-high boots, miniskirt and gold-studded outfit came courtesy of Philip Treacy, Givenchy Couture. While a pair of 19.6 carats of white gold and diamond earrings were provided by Bulgari. Not to be outdone by the pop idol, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. also appeared in Erickson Beamon headpieces.
Speaking of his creations for Madonna, Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci said: "People say everything has a limit, but limits do not exist with Madonna."
The 12-minute show saw Madge perform a string of her best hits including "Vogue," "Open Your Heart," and "Like a Prayer," along with her new single, "Give Me All Your Luvin'. She was also joined on stage by Cee-Lo Green and LMFAO.
I think it's safe to assume that Madonna is officially back.
