Rooney Mara and Elizabeth Olsen make Vanity Fair's 2012 Hollywood issue
How many up-and-coming starlets can you spot on the cover of Vanity Fair's annual Hollywood issue? [Tip: click image above to enlarge]. To help celebrate the issue's 10th anniversary, VF have featured another group of leading ladies including a couple of Oscar contenders. Academy Award nominees Jessica Chastain - who is up for Best Supporting Actress for The Help - and Rooney Mara, who will go up against Michelle Williams and Meryl Streep for Best Actress - both star in this pastel-themed cover.
Inspired by the interior works of English decorator, Syrie Maugham, the look for the shoot was taken from the Jazz Age. This could help explain why the actresses are dressed in long silky gowns, furry stoles and dolled up in 1920s/30s hair and make-up.
The cover is also Mario Testino's first for the annual issue! In amongst the bevy of beauties is Mia Wasikowska, the current face of Miu Miu, Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Olsen, Adepero Oduye, Shailene Woodley, Paula Patton, Felicity Jones, Lily Collins, and Brit Marling. Did you spot them all?
