The Oscars may be done and dusted for another year but before we can sign off from all of our red carpet coverage we simply must round-up some of the biggest fashion trends from the night. First of all, one of the big questions I am asking post-Oscars is white the new black?
White and cream-coloured gowns were a huge favourite amongst the Hollywood set at last night's Academy Awards. Gwyneth Paltrow lead the cream of the crop in a really exciting modern white dress designed by Tom Ford. Showing off that incredible body of hers, the actress really wowed by rocking up to the Oscars in a matching floor-length cape. Brilliant!
In similar white/cream designs were Rooney Mara (in Givenchy Couture) and Milla Jovovich (in Elie Saab). Rooney managed to fulfil one of Gemma's Oscar predications by opting for a pale, heavily-textured dress. While Milla chose red carpet favourite Elie Saab for her moment in the Oscars spotlight. Her one-shouldered shimmery beaded design which is especially flattering with Milla's short wavy 'do.
Another couple of A-listers, Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz, also opted for a pale shade of gown for the glittering occasion. Speaking of glittering, Jennifer sparkled on the stage in a plunging figure-hugging dress featuring pleats and sequins by Zuhair Murad. Cameron stuck to what she knows best - a cool, clean creation from Gucci Premiere.
