Oscars 2012: Best Supporting Actress Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji
This is what an Oscar winner looks like! The Help star Octavia Spencer, winner of the Best Supporting Actress gong, stayed true to designer Tadashi Shoji, who has dressed her brilliantly throughout the awards show season.
Perhaps the designer's gowns have been a good luck charm for the star, who's walked off with awards at all the big events...or perhaps her talent is the reason for that! Either way, she and the designer have been the perfect pair, never more so than at tonight's Academy Awards, when Octavia wore a simple, high necked sheath with loads of embellishment in the night's must-have pale shade.
Our favourite bit of this look is the hairstyle, which was created by the stylist from the set of The Help (thus the woman responsible for making Emma Stone a frizzy blonde and Jessica Chastain a Marilyn Monroe wannabe). What a lovely touch that her 'do was done by the same woman who created Minny's look for the film!
