Day three of London Fashion Week saw controversial and directional designer Marios Schwab show his Autumn / Winter 2012 collection at Somerset House. The Greco-Austrian designer is renowned for producing opinion provoking creations which are based around a standout collection of dresses.

The mainly black and white collection started off with sleek and streamline silhouettes which played on a minimalist simple aesthetic with structure; complete with interesting but always linear lines, chic splits, elbow length gloves and ladylike cloche style hats. As the collection moved on, the streamline shapes were interjected with fine and delicate black lace inserts on sleeves and necklines which made way for the full on textured lace dresses which proved to be a real standout.

The collection then went on to include more and more texture in the form of fur paneled minimalist shaped outerwear and leather detailed separates teamed with button up collars. With a prevalent lady like theme throughout, Schwab kept things interesting with swirling shaped necklines and ultra sheer fabrics adorned with modern-feel patterns on the series of waisted below the knee creations. Hair was swept back in sleek ponytails with a purposefully messed up edge. Sequins made an appearance alongside Schwab's signature fetish feel leathers. The collection finished on a high with a selection of red carpet ready gowns made of super sexy barely there sheers and luxe sparkling embellishment.

Known for the seductive nature of his signature designs, Marios Schwab is never afraid of making a statement and this season was no different; his juxtaposition of lady like shapes, forms and styling in combination with the ultra provocative and revealing fabrics made for yet another directional selection of designs.
