Kate Middleton's Orla Kiely 'Birdie' dress sells out within minutes
For those of you who may find yourselves ogling Kate Middleton's Orla Kiely dress this morning over breakfast, the bad news is it's all sold out! As the royal patron of The Art Room, the Duchess of Cambridge made her first public engagement yesterday to lend her support to the initiative which encourages confidence in disadvantaged children.
While stepping out in front of cheering crowds at Rose Hill Primary School and Oxford Spires Academy, Kate wore a gorgeous walnut-coloured Orla Kiely 'Birdie' coat dress designed in a dove-motif. Created from a wool jacquard, the dress was available in three variations - walnut, turquoise and slate, and was recently marked down from £325 to £162.50. Another good reason to buy, yes? Well unfortunately it sold out within minutes of her public appearance yesterday. No surprises there, she does have the midas touch!
To match her dress, the Duchess pulled on a pair brown tights which she wore with Aquatalia by Marvin K's appropriately-named 'Royal' booties, available from Nordstrom. She carried a black clutch and donned her favourite white topaz and diamond Kiki McDonough 'Grace' earrings.
