Andrej Pejic inks fragrance deal with Jean Paul Gaultier
For the man who knows no gender boundaries now comes a new fragrance deal with Jean Paul Gaultier. Aussie male model Andrej Pejic has just been announced as the face of a new men's fragrance named Kokorico.
The deal marks the first time the French designer has launched a men's scent in 16 years. His last male fragrance was Le Male. Kokorico launched in France in July with an initial launch campaign starring hunky Spanish model Jon Kortajarena in a feathered tuxedo. Now it appears Gaultier is taking advertising for the product in a new direction by recruiting Pejic who is known for modelling women's clothing including bridal, swimwear and uh-huh, even lingerie!
Last week Pejic was lensed in Paris by British artist, DJ and photographer Matthew Stone. So far the Gaultier camp have not responded to enquiries as to whether the campaign will be aimed at men and women due to Pejic's androgynous image.
What do you think of this news? Is Pejic the right fit for a male fragrance campaign?
