Stella McCartney unveils Pre-Fall 2012 collection
Stella McCartney threw another one of her casual-yet-cool parties to help launch her Pre-Fall 2012-13 collection last night. The British designer took over the New York restaurant One If By Land, Two If By Sea to unveil her latest designs. With her pals Liv Tyler and Naomi Watts in attendance, Stella kicked off her 10th year anniversary with an English preppy collection which seemed in accordance with what she wore growing up.
To show off the clothes in a relaxed manner, models grouped together to play snooker and socialise. According to WWD, they wore "tuxedo tailored coats with a hint of couture curves in the caped sleeves, pyjama-like pants and square tops done in pop-colored monogrammed embroideries." For evening, Stella showed looks which featured embroidered lace and metallic brocades.
Speaking recently to British Vogue's February issue, Stella admitted to being like any other normal busy mum of four. Despite the glamorous nature of her job and her celebrity posse of mates, she is far from being a party girl.
"Sometimes, someone will go, come on, let's have another tequila shot, and I'll have one, and then it'll be 11 o'clock, and I'll know I've got to get up for the kids, and I'm not even pissed yet, and I'll think, why bother?" she said. "Sometimes I wish I were less sensible. Maybe I'll start again when I'm 50."
Somehow that makes me love her all the more... aw bless.
