Sneak peek: Marni for H&M campaign by Sofia Coppola
Ever since I heard the news that Sofia Coppola would be directing the Marni for H&M ad campaign I have been eagerly waiting another sneaky peek. Now my wishes have been answered with this preview at the print ads starring British actress Imogen Poots.
Shot on location in Marrakech, the campaign certainly delivers on the whole dimly-lit, bohemian vibe. With Imogen lying casually on a sofa, the ad is a feast of clashing of prints, rich colours and textures. The 22-year-old models a silky dress which features a Peter Pan colour and ribbon tie.
The Italian label's founder Consuelo Castiglioni announced in November she was teaming up with the retailer on a Spring collection. The campaign is due to be released ahead of the collection's March 8th launch. It will include womenswear, menswear, jewellery, shoes and accessories.
"I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favourite pieces in signature fabrics and prints," Castiglioni said in November. "As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colours, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic and adding sporty utilitarian elements."
