Newsflash: Sienna and Savannah Miller are leaving Twenty8Twelve!
Say, what?! News has hit the wires this morning that Sienna Miller and her sister Savannah are leaving their label Twenty8Twelve. After six years, the pair have decided to end their partnership with the brand which will continue on under its current design team. Since heading up Twenty8Twelve as co-creative directors, Sienna and Savannah have now decided to pursue other ventures.
"We've had a brilliant six years at Twenty8Twelve and are now looking forward to new pastures. We wish the brand the best of luck for the future," said the Millers.
"We've had a great partnership with the Miller sisters. From the beginning, our mission was to create a contemporary label with its own identity and strong directional design, as well as an emphasis on quality, cut and finishing. That vision, along with the uniquely British style the collection has become known for, will continue under the direction of the Twenty8Twelve design team," added Nish Soneji, managing director of Twenty8Twelve.
As part of the company's next chapter Soneji said it will "continue to explore retail store investments and e-commerce as part of its rebranding efforts." It will soon be called Twenty8Twelve London as oppose to Twenty8Twelve by s. miller. There are also plans to launch an e-commerce website this Autumn and the label will go ahead with its plans to show at London Fashion Week next month.
Perhaps this is was what Savannah meant when she recently tweeted "THRILLED," instead of those rumours that Sienna is expecting her first baby. Hmmm... only time will tell!
