Naomi Campbell and supermodels unite for Roberto Cavalli Spring 2012
As we continue through the barrage of Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaigns, here is one definitely sitting up and taking notice of. Following in the footsteps of the recent Duran Duran music video and Harper's Bazaar cover, Roberto Cavalli decided to enlist the help of a trio of supermodels and one up-and-coming supermodel.
The Italian designer turned to Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy and 17-year-old Daphne Groeneveld to star his Spring 2012 campaign. Captured by Steven Meisel, the photos were taken at Pier 59 Digital Studios in New York.
Featuring pieces from Cavalli's Milan runway show, there is plenty of glitz and glamour in these latest ads courtesy of silk printed dresses, floor-length sequin gowns and the house's new Florence bag, named after the designer's hometown. Pieces from the Roberto Cavalli Underwear collection also appear in the imagery. Cavalli's wife Eva acted as creative director on the campaign with hair by Guido Palau and make-up by Pat McGrath.
