Cindy Crawford's ten-year-old daughter stars in Versace campaign
It seems models are getting younger and younger these days! Cindy Crawford's ten-year-old daughter has become the face of Versace's very first Young Versace campaign. Kaia Gerber (also daughter of Rande Gerber) appears to be a chip off the old block by starring in the ads for Donatella Versace's new line, which offers clothes for kids up to 12.
After launching last month with a boutique in Milan, the line has gone full steam ahead with a Spring/Summer 2012 collection that was captured by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Cindy herself was once a muse for the late Gianni Versace throughout the Nineties, and mum sounds pleased as punch over her daughter's first foray into the world of modelling.
"I'm so thrilled that Kaia was chosen to be part of the first Young Versace Campaign," she said. "I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni and Donatella. There is something so very special about the House of Versace."
"Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift. The camera really, really loves her," Donatella added. "Having Cindy on-set for the shoot took me back to all the amazing Avedon shoots we worked on together. It was such a special treat watching Kaia walk in her mother's footsteps!"
