The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo costume designer talks H&M collection
I'm not too familiar with The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, but if the punk-inspired, post-apocalyptic look of the Dragon Tattoo Collection for H&M is any indication I should really check it out. Shrunken leather jackets and hoodies good for hiding under and scowling, as the models do so well, are right up my alley. Trish Summerville, the costume designer for the film, designed the 30-piece line with main character Lisbeth Salander in mind.
"It's definitely more of an edgy kind of a collection," Summerville said. "Our Salandar is a little more internal, she's not so showy, I didn't want her to look like she was in a band or she was goth, she wears what she would consider classic pieces to her."
As in key leather jackets and wear-everywhere combat boots. I'll be checking it out Dec. 14 when the line hits stores.
