Sofia Coppola black white photo.jpgExciting news for all you Sofia Coppola fans out there! She has been put in charge of directing the advertising film and campaign for H&M's new Marni collaboration.

The ad, which was filmed in Marrakech last October, will be screened in cinemas and on television worldwide, as well as online. Sofia also heads up the print campaign as well. Of course she is no stranger to shooting films for fashion houses, Sofia has previously shot advertising campaigns for Miss Dior Chérie perfume and was also the face of Marc Jacobs perfume.

"I enjoyed doing this film for the Marni at H&M collaboration. I think it's great how they make fashion accessible and I wanted to show the fantasy fashion can bring," Coppola said. "Consuelo [Castiglioni] seems really sincere and cares about what she does and I appreciated that."

While speaking of Coppola, Castiglioni said: "I'm a big fan of her movies, in particular of her vision and aesthetic. It was fantastic that she worked on this project; her interpretation is remarkable and full of atmosphere."

Marni for H&M comprises of women's and men's clothing and accessories which will go on sale March 8 worldwide. Check out a sneak peek of the collection here.
