If you've been following my Dressember diary you'll know that I've taken on the challenge of wearing a different dress every day this month. Christmas parties and festive events make it easy, but freezing cold weather and super-busy days make it more of a struggle. So far, I've pulled out maxi dresses, tea dresses, skater dresses and wiggle dresses, and worn about 12 different pairs of shoes. Here's what I've been wearing this week so far...

Saturday 10th December

On Saturday I went to a party for friends who're off to the other side of the world for Christmas, so I took the opportunity to pull out my new Fever 'Carnaby' dress (bought from Brand Alley) with a pair of lace-up vintage style shoes from New Look and air-dried lazy hair!

Sunday 11th December

I barely left the house on Sunday, so my look was suitably casual. A green dress with tan belt from Primark. I ditched the slip it came with, instead adding a H&M long-sleeved top and Uniqlo leggings (it's freezing) plus a velvet turban-esque headband from Primark to keep my hair off my face while I was cleaning up. I cropped my feet out because nobody needs to see my penguin-covered slipper socks.

Monday 12th December

I was originally going to keep Monday's dress for Christmas day because it's such a perfect festive frock, but I couldn't resist showing it off earlier in case anyone wants to nab one for themselves. Coincidentally, the day after I wore it, it graced the cover of Grazia as one of their Christmas day dress picks - great minds think alike!

The dress was very kindly sent to me for Dressember by new indie fashion talents Miss Patina, who are alumni of my old stomping ground, London College of Fashion. I teamed the crochet-trimmed velvet mini with Red or Dead spotty tights and ASOS sequin slipper shoes.

Tuesday 13th December

I'm trying desperately to bring a few old dresses out of retirement this Dressember, so my next pick was an old Miss Selfridge dress with a waterfall neckline and crossover skirt. In retrospect, perhaps I should have added a belt, but belting everything I own is a habit I'm trying to get out of. I wore the dress with Steve Madden zebra print calfhair heels, an absolute steal on a trip to the US back in about 2007.

Wednesday 14th December

And you thought Monday was festive! I seem to have quite a lot of red in my wardrobe at the moment, and I can't resist posing in front of the Christmas tree in all of it! Since I don't think I'll get a chance to wear this Pearl Lowe for Peacocks lace dress for an evening do this year, I decided to whip it out for daytime instead. That's the joy of working in an office like ours - nobody bats an eyelid if you turn up looking like you're off to a party! Black tights and sparkly Poetic License 'Hello Lovely' shoes (found for £25 in TK Maxx last year) finished the look.

Thursday 15th December

Yet more red, even if it is just the trim on my H! By Henry Holland dress. Close up you can see the print is tiny little sausage dogs. I believe dog print is the new cat print (which is the new bird print, which was the new polka dots, which was the new...oh, I give up). The belt came with the dress, the tights are from Wolford and the ankle boots are a bargainous find from ASOS (only £16).

Tomorrow is the office Christmas party, so Dressember will get some special guest stars (does that work?) in a one-off party post. I'll see you then!
