Kate Middleton in black velvet Alexander McQueen for Military Awards
Topping off an incredible year was Kate Middleton overnight. The Duchess of Cambridge attended The Sun Military Awards at the Imperial War Museum in London wearing another flawless gown. Despite the celeb-heavy guest list all eyes were on Kate as she entered the ceremony flanked by two very handsome men, Princes William and Harry.
For the occasion, Kate chose a figure-hugging floor-length strapless black velvet dress by Alexander McQueen. A similar version of this dress featuring a black chiffon skirt was available to buy via Net-a-Porter for £3,995 but has since sold out. No surprises there.
To accompany her gown, the Duchess opted for a pair of Jimmy Choo 'Cosmic' black suede pumps, which you can purchase from Jimmy Choo's US website for $695. Kate's handbag was also made from black velvet. Her oversized bow clutch is by Pretty Ballerinas, designed by Jaime Mascaró.
Of course it wouldn't be a royal outfit without some major bling. To finish off her look, Kate wore a matching diamond and ruby necklace, earrings and bracelet set which is believed to be a wedding gift from a friend. Some wedding gift!
