Whispers are circulating that the next new face of Chanel is edgy British model Alice Dellal.

Women's Wear Daily is reporting that the model is rumoured to be the new star of Chanel's handbag campaign. If true it wouldn't be the first time that Karl Lagerfeld has cast an eclectic face to front the campaign.

He has previously worked with Jerry Hall, Lily Allen, Rinko Kikuchi, Blake Lively and Diane Kruger in his handbag advertising imagery.

Alice comes from a family with a definite style pedigree - her sister Charlotte is the designer behind shoe brand Charlotte Olympia, recent winner of the accessories award at The British Fashion Awards. Alice herself has fronted campaigns for Mango and Agent Provocateur and has also been described as Mario Testino's muse.

What do you think of this rumour? Do you think Alice would make a good Chanel girl?
