Versace for H&M hits London - and so do the queues!
This morning Donatella Versace was on Regent Street for the launch of Versace for H&M, and team Catwalk Queen hit up various branches of the store in central London to see exactly how big a pull Versace for H&M really was. At 8.30am at Oxford Circus, the queue was pretty big (though nothing near the dizzy heights of Kate Moss for Topshop).
Meanwhile, down at Oxford Street East, though people had been queuing for up to 12 hours, the line wasn't too long, snaking around one corner only. Most people got into the store by 9.15 and there seemed to be a reasonable amount of stock to go around.
One thing that did surprise us were the number of guys in line to get their Versace fix. Perhaps the high prices of the womenswear range (very few items under £80) kept the queues a bit shorter than some collabs, or maybe people tried their luck online?
And our picks from the range? Well, we came back laden down with leather pieces and studded skirts. Stay tuned for your chance to win one of the must-haves from the range very, very soon!
